About the role

As a member of the Clinical Intelligence Strategy & Operations team, you will have end to end responsibility for a core part of our Clinical Intelligence product. You will play a crucial role in scaling our ability to leverage clinical intelligence in our products and operations to ensure Tandem can meet the exponentially growing user and client demand. You will have the opportunity to lead cross-functional projects that will have a profound impact on the company, with a need to flex across clinical operations, applied AI, data, product, and sales domains. You will also work directly with our Clinical and Engineering teams to define, build, and launch high-impact automation and new features, leveraging the latest advances in AI.

If you join, you will:

• Own the product design, implementation, and outcomes from start to finish across multiple clinical intelligence features

• Translate clinical expertise into scalable logic, workflows, and quality standards used across Tandem’s platform

• Evaluate and refine system performance to ensure clinical accuracy and reliability, using your expertise to analyze feedback and resolve issues with AI and agent outputs

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure platform behavior reflects real-world clinical reasoning and standards

• Develop and maintain operational and financial performance analyses to drive prioritization decisions

• Build and scale new workflows and continuously identify and implement AI-powered efficiency gains in collaboration with engineers

• Explore, evaluate, and execute on new opportunities for the company, including strategic partnerships and new products and services

We’ll be most excited if you have:

• 2–5 years of clinical experience as and physician (MD / DO), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), or similar advanced clinical role, ideally directly providing patient care and clinical decision-making

• 1-3 years of experience working on a team that required analytical problem-solving, operational rigor, and outcome ownership (e.g., fast-growing startup, consulting, finance, a 0 -> 1 business line at a high-performing organization)

• Technical background and/or experience working with complex data (at minimum the role requires learning SQL and low-code tools)

• Strong written and verbal communication that allows you to be an effective participant in both internal debates and external relationships

• Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals

• High NPS with your former teammates

Tandem is based in New York, with our full team working out of a beautiful and spacious office in SoHo.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company’s size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Tandem (for full-time employees). Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity.
