Housekeeping Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will have experience as Housekeeping/Guest Services Supervisor in a similar property environment. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Ensuring exceptional cleanliness and orderliness of the guest rooms and suites, public areas, back-of-house areas, as well as supporting of the laundry department
• Ensure all areas of the PureClean program are executed
• These are working Supervisor positions and will require assistance in cleaning of guest rooms and public areas as required.
• Daily room inspections and ongoing support of team members.
• Maintaining supply and equipment inventories and ensuring the team has the right tools to do the job
• Reports to the Housekeeping Manager, and collaborates daily with all other departments, in particular the Front Office Team and Maintenance.
• Ensuring that Health, Wellness & Safety standards are met and exceeded, including knowledge of and proper use of cleaning and other chemicals, proper lifting procedures, etc.
• Providing daily ongoing support and training as required.
• Supporting fair and effective scheduling and ongoing coaching of the team members
Qualifications:
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented, energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented individual, with a minimum of two (2) years in a Housekeeping/Guest Service lead or Supervisory role in a similar property environment.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping room attendant, house person and laundry roles
• An exceptional eye for detail, with a commitment to service excellence
• Exceptional interpersonal and guest service skills for both our internal and external clients
• The initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and resolve them in a timely manner with sound decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a time sensitive daily environment with proven empowerment philosophy
• Must be health and safety focused with the ability to pull, bend, stretch reach and lift as a part of daily requirements
• WHMIS Certification and First Aid a definite asset
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, OPERA or similar Property Management System.
• Must be legally able to work in Canada
