What You Will Do:
• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
• Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Collaborate with Home Centre Team Leaders in initiating, developing, and implementing plans, policies, and innovations that will ensure sales growth in multiple product categories.
• Collaborate with leaders across our Home Centres to ensure timely fulfillment of project orders.
• Support the day-to-day retail operations in the Shellbrook Home Centre.
• Achieve budgeted goals through pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory control in each product category.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with contractor, builders, and customers.
• Conduct project consultations to determine customer needs and offer product and service solutions.
• Prepare and present detailed and competitive quotes, material takeoffs, and project packages using estimating software and in-store tools.
• Monitor project progress and proactively follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building materials, home improvement trends, and building code requirements.
• Assist with in-store merchandising and promotional campaigns related to project materials and services.
• Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to the Safety Management and Asset Protection systems, policies, procedures, records, and training requirements.
Who You Will Work With: Reporting to the Home Centre Team Leader, you will work closely with a variety of internal and external partners to ensure a successful customer experience and project execution. This role is highly collaborative and requires effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills to support both customer satisfaction and internal efficiency.
Who You Are:
You are looking for a Project Sales opportunity in Home and Building Sales and Customer Service and:
• You have 5-7 years of relevant experience in the home and building, construction industry, or retail industry, with at least 5 years of sales experience.
• You have a construction or carpentry accreditation and/or specialization in project estimating.
• You have a solid understanding of construction methods, can read, understand, and interpret construction documents, plans, and drawings and understand building codes and trends.
• You are well organized, can work independently, and demonstrate strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• You work well under pressure and are savvy with balancing and meeting multiple strict deadlines.
• You have strong oral and written communication skills and communicate effectively using multiple communication channels.
• You are attentive to detail and hold precision and accuracy as core values.
• You are available to work a flexible schedule; some evenings and weekends are required.
• You have a valid driver’s license (class 5 minimum) for regular day travel; in addition, you must be able to perform the physical tasks common to the construction industry.
