Towson University is accepting applications for the Auxiliary Services Ticket Office Assistant Manager. Reporting to the Ticket Office Manager, this position will assist in all aspects of ticket operations for ticketed events sponsored by Athletics, Student Affairs, Events and Conference Services, and Commencement.
Student Staff Supervision: Main point of contact with student staff. Responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling staff members throughout the year. Also responsible for training and development of Contingent 1 Ticket Office Clerk.
Settlements: Collect audit reports after an event has ended, settle ticket sales in Ticketmaster & Archtics, and complete an event settlement report accounting for all expenses and gross sales.
Events: Attend meetings with internal and external clients for upcoming events; anticipate event needs; program events through Archtics/TM; request cash banks when needed for day-of sales; manager on duty for some events, specifically student events, Turkey Bowl, Baltimore Blast games and Commencement.
Commencement Ticketing: Primary point person in creating Commencement events in Ticketmaster and monitoring on sale. Will provide updates to Commencement Leadership on a consistent basis.
Facilities/Equipment — assist Ticket Office Manager with maintaining 20+ workstations using Ticketmaster software, throughout campus. Working closely with Auxiliary Information Systems, Office of Technology Services, and Ticketmaster Field Support, ensuring all venues have working Access Points, software, and hardware. Ensure scanners are in proper working condition.
Customer Service: Monitor tuticketoffice@towson.edu email account and respond to questions/requests in a timely fashion.
Perform additional duties as directed.
Bachelors' Degree.
A minimum of two years of experience in administrative staff work.
Knowledge and experience working with ticketing software. (Ticketmaster/Archtics preferred)
Ability to problem solve, forecast issues, and make logical decisions in stressful situations.
Ability to multi-task and work with interruptions, self-driven, reprioritize, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience, and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
$48,138 annually and full University benefits that includes annual leave, up to 17 holidays, personal and sick days; excellent health, life, and retirement plans; and tuition remission. Applicants with TU or USM service may receive salary credit. When applicable, a 2.5% increase may be added to the annual salary, pending successful completion of the initial six-month probationary period, for this position.
