Rockstar is a venture-funded startup in the cybersecurity space experiencing explosive growth. They are seeking a Sales Development Associate to handle inbound lead workflows, support sales development leadership, and improve data quality and processes within the sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Own inbound lead handling workflows, including reviewing inbound leads for ICP fit, validating account and contact data, and routing to the appropriate SDR or AE based on territory, segment, and process rules
- Support Sales Development leadership in departmental projects impacting Revenue’s Top-Of-Funnel
- Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where you can make a significant impact by creating leverage for the sales team
- Own ICP list generation and filtration, including building targeted account lists for SDRs and AEs based on defined criteria
- Research breach reports and public sources to identify impacted companies, determine whether they match ICP, and capture relevant context for outreach prioritization
- Process event and webinar attendee lists to identify ICP accounts, validate contacts, and prepare clean, enriched exports for sales motion
- Perform data enrichment and normalization work across accounts and contacts to ensure completeness, accuracy, and usability
- Maintain CRM hygiene and routing readiness by reviewing records and ensuring required fields, labels, next steps, stages, and dispositions are applied consistently
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to improve the quality of inputs, process consistency, and data reliability
- Develop repeatable workflows and light process improvements that increase speed and accuracy across list building, research, and CRM updates
- Grow into the SDR role by learning ICP, account prioritization, sales process, and how clean data drives pipeline
Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in sales, sales operations, lead research, customer research, or a similar role where accuracy, consistency, and judgment matter
- Strong at research and critical thinking
- Comfortable working through ambiguous inputs to produce clean, usable outputs
- Ability to take messy inputs (breach reports, event lists, inconsistent CRM data) and turn them into clean, actionable outputs
- Maintain strong hygiene, correct categorization, and clear next steps across accounts, contacts, and opportunities
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to balance and effectively manage competing priorities and multiple projects/deals at the same time
- Precise attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- College degree or equivalent required
- Background in organized sports/experience working in a small team environment is a plus
