The Payment Solutions Market Manager is responsible for driving business development and sales within the Small Business and Branch Banking segment, focusing on developing new business relationships and expanding profitability within existing client accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect, develop, and manage a sales pipeline focused on companies with less than $2.5 million in annual revenue
- Execute merchant sales strategies within the Small Business segment
- Plan and execute successful sales campaigns to drive growth
- Provide regular activity reporting and progress updates to leadership
- Build, grow, and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders and bank partners
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of relevant sales experience
- Ability to travel
- Five to eight years of relevant sales experience
- Strong knowledge of product marketing, client service, and organizational operations
- Proven marketing, business development, sales, and negotiation skills
- Strong sales acumen with demonstrated experience managing and advancing a sales pipeline
- Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve client issues effectively and creatively
- Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and prioritization skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation with consistent follow‑up
- Demonstrated experience in payment processing; Merchant Services sales experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) software and systems preferred
- Proficiency using Salesforce to manage opportunities and track sales activity
- Collaborative team player with strong relationship‑building skills
