Full Stack Engineer

Fuel AI is an innovative startup based in the South Bay Area of California, dedicated to providing AI training data to companies building AI and automation solutions. They are seeking a curious, hands-on Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and optimize services that power Fuel AI’s core data pipeline and user-facing applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and optimize backend services that support Fuel AI’s core data pipeline
• Build and manage APIs using Node.js and Express to support front-end applications built with React.js
• Integrate and deploy backend services on Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on Cloud Run
• Develop, manage, and optimize data storage solutions using Firebase and Firestore
• Ensure reliable data flow, processing, and synchronization across services and cloud infrastructure
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for scalability and reliability
• Collaborate with front-end engineers and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver features
• Use generative AI tools to accelerate development, debug issues, and explore alternative solutions
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following established engineering standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
• Experience building full stack applications, whether through coursework, internships, or personal projects
• Comfort working with JavaScript and Node.js, with exposure to modern front-end frameworks like React
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform, or a strong desire to learn
• Curiosity about using AI tools to support software development and problem-solving
• A strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn by doing
