Privateer is seeking a Platform Engineer with a blend of strong software engineering expertise and some data science acumen to join their team. The role focuses on improving system robustness, stability, and performance while optimizing geospatial data storage and query performance at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain platform services in a microservices environment
- Develop and optimize event-driven architectures using message queuing systems
- Implement and maintain gRPC and HTTP API surfaces
- Design data processing pipelines and analytics infrastructure
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and reliability
- Containerize applications and manage container orchestration
