Position Overview
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Brand Marketing, the Content Manager will support planning, production, and execution of our brand content across multiple channels. This role blends editorial leadership, content production, and content operations management. The Content Manager will oversee the creation and optimization of content including website copy, blog posts, product descriptions, email campaigns, social media, and sales enablement marketing.
You will work closely with the marketing, sales and product teams to understand brand and product positioning, channel needs and deliver messaging strategies and content that elevates our marketing collateral and drive results. You will be proficient in modern AI tools and analytics to scale content production while ensuring brand voice, quality, and strategic alignment. This is a non-supervisory position.
Responsibilities
Creative process:
• Participate in internal brainstorming sessions, bringing energy and creativity
• Develop tone, style, voice for all branded marketing materials
• Takes an active role in working on concept development, refinement and editing of marketing collateral
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and execute message testing opportunities
• Ensure consistency in brand messaging and across all customer touchpoints
Content Production
• Own the editorial calendar across website, blog, email, and social media.
• Identify content opportunities based on SEO insights, campaign priorities, social and industry trends, and audience needs.
• Create video content to incorporate into social media and other channels.
• Translate seasonal campaigns and product launches into integrated content plans.
• Leverage AI tools to scale content development for blogs, landing pages, product descriptions, and social media.
• Edit, refine, and humanize AI-generated content to ensure brand voice, accuracy, and differentiation.
• Build repeatable AI prompt frameworks and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Maintain editorial standards that balance speed, quality, and authenticity.
Website & E-Commerce Support:
• Develop messaging strategies that consider all touchpoints and effectively move consumers through the path to purchase
• Produce copy for multiple branded e-commerce website properties
• Continuous improvement of website content to support e-commerce performance goals, generative AI engine optimization and SEO
• Publish and update blogs and product content.
• Manage content refresh cycles and optimize underperforming pages in collaboration with E-Commerce team.
Digital Marketing:
• Produce copy for social media posts, stories, and campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement
• Own the execution of organic content posts with social media.
• Work with Creative and Performance Marketing teams to build engaging e-mail content strategies and campaigns
• Lead message concepting and scripting for online video and linear TV campaign spots
• Provide copy as requested to support other paid, earned and owned marketing outreach such as search marketing, affiliate content requests and other misc opportunities.
Product/Service Support:
• Develop product positioning, feature/benefit content and product training material to support new product launch strategies
• Elevate the brand and product presence at retail through effective messaging strategies for product packaging and other point-of-purchase materials
• Develop naming strategies and recommendations for new product series, model names and key features that differentiate our products from the competition
Project Management & Content Optimization
• Conduct keyword research and implement search-driven content strategies.
• Edit and approve content produced internally or externally.
• Manager content governance and documentation.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
• Use project management tool (Asana) to manage projects and streamline workflows.
Content Performance & Analytics
• Track performance of content across channels including website, email, and social.
• Use insights to refine content strategy and improve ROI.
• Develop reporting dashboards that demonstrate content impact on traffic, engagement, and conversion.
• Report performance to marketing team regularly and adjust content based on results.
Marginal Job Functions:
• Technical product writing and proofing
• Assist marketing, sales and product teams with developing and editing PowerPoint presentation content
• Partner with marketing, product and sales teams to support campaign and product launches
• Collaborate with designers to create integrated content experiences.
• Review and approve any external writers, freelancers, or agencies when needed.
• Other projects as needed
Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree required in English, Communications, or Journalism
Experience:
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a copywriter required with strong editorial writing and editing skills
• Minimum 2 years of content planning and execution experience for product brands.
• Agency experience is a plus
• Content generation for use in various types of consumer-facing print and digital marketing materials
• Script writing and concept creation
• Working knowledge of SEO strategy and keyword optimization
• Understanding of digital marketing channels and messaging best practices (Meta, Google, e-mail, etc.)
• Understanding of AI tools, platforms and best practices that may be used in the content creation process
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to inform/produce content and content strategies
• Experience with fitness or wellness-related content development is a plus
Other Requirements:
• Mac or PC based: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
• Intense attention to detail and editing
• Up to 5% domestic travel
