Michael Page is a leading manufacturer of custom HVAC solutions for critical environments. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to develop and implement growth strategies to drive sales of customized AHUs in key sectors such as healthcare and data centers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement growth strategies to drive sales of customized AHUs in key sectors such as healthcare, data centers, education, and manufacturing
- Identify and capture new business opportunities through market analysis, networking, and targeted prospecting
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with contractors, consulting engineers, facility managers, and end-users
- Collaborate with internal engineering and design teams to deliver tailored HVAC solutions that meet customer specifications and performance goals
- Create and present compelling proposals, bids, and presentations to prospective clients
- Negotiate and finalize sales agreements that support business objectives and profitability targets
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine sales strategies and product positioning
- Provide accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management to senior leadership
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and professional associations to strengthen brand presence and build networks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the HVAC industry; prior experience with custom AHUs or applied equipment is highly desirable
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, air handling units, and relevant industry standards
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving growth in competitive markets
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
- Ability to interpret complex engineering specifications and translate them into customer-focused solutions
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools
- Willingness to travel as required to support client engagement and business development initiatives
