Foot Locker is seeking a Product Manager to lead the agile development of digital and store products. The individual will set the product vision, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage the product backlog to drive growth and improvement in product delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to the team and all relevant stakeholders
- Lead the team through the agile product development life-cycle
- Be accountable for product KPIs and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into a compelling product vision, quarterly OKRs, and a prioritized product backlog
- Advocate for business stakeholders in providing timely insights that can inform other actions to drive growth and improvement
- Provide high-quality, detailed input for planning events (quarterly, sprint)
- Engage with the team to maintain a refined product backlog of two to three sprints ahead of current development work
- Lead product demonstrations at the end of each sprint (and ad hoc, when needed)
- Reflect honestly on their own work and participate in team retrospectives to promote best practices and continuous improvement
- Act as the 'voice of the customer to the team' to represent the desires of the business
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Product management with Agile and Scrum preferred
- Proven knowledge and understanding of the business domain and industry trends
- Awareness of relevant technology
- Experienced in leading teams in an Agile setting (e.g., participating in Scrum events, creating and managing a backlog and release plan, understanding team metrics)
- Ability to combine domain expertise with technology knowledge to envision solutions and then express that via a prioritized product backlog
- Strong leader, collaborator, and individual contributor
- Effective communicator across organizational levels and groups
- Dynamic problem-solver who can lead the exploration of solution possibilities; incorporate the wisdom of sponsors, subject-matter experts, and the team; and align on a clear direction
- Empowered to make decisions (i.e., not an “order-taker”)
- Willing and able to “roll up the sleeves” and go outside your comfort zone to learn and innovate
- Experimental mindset to drive innovation; empowers the team to fail, learn, and grow
- Relevant certification preferred (e.g., CSPO, PSPO I)
