Key position functions:
- Process timekeeping and payroll activities in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist with and/or complete a variety of administrative activities in support of payroll processing and department functions.
- Maintain high proficiency knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Provide strong customer service focus to peers, employees and management.
- Process new hires, terminations, transfers, and changes within the payroll system.
- Maintain employee files and information.
- Initiate probation notices.
- Facilitate RRSP signups.
- Track mileage as per CRA guidelines.
- Maintain a service oriented approach to working with colleagues and when responding to employee inquiries.
- Complete project work as assigned.
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:
- Experience with timekeeping and payroll processing activities – minimum two years payroll administration experience.
- National Payroll Institute PCP certification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems – experience with UKG is an asset.
- Experience with time keeping systems – Synerion is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail & accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer focused.
- Well organized and self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
