General Motors is transforming vehicles into software‑defined platforms enabled by resilient, global connectivity. The Product Manager – Global Connectivity & Carrier Partnerships is responsible for defining and executing GM’s global connectivity product strategy while leading end‑to‑end ownership of GM’s connectivity portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Own the long‑term product strategy, roadmap, and execution for GM’s global connectivity services, including cellular (4G LTE, 5G), eSIM and remote SIM provisioning, satellite and non‑terrestrial networks, and cloud‑enabled connectivity services
- Work backward from customer, vehicle, and ecosystem experience to define differentiated business models, technical architectures, and commercial frameworks that scale globally
- Lead the full product lifecycle from requirements definition through launch, scale, operations, and long‑term service evolution, including legacy technology sunsets and vehicle car‑parc migration strategies
- Define and execute global multi‑carrier strategies that improve resilience, coverage, cost efficiency, and customer experience across regions and vehicle programs
- Strengthen and expand GM’s global connectivity relationships into long‑term strategic partnerships that unlock new opportunities and support future connectivity evolution
- Drive adoption of next‑generation connectivity technologies, including emerging 6G concepts, Mobile Edge Compute (MEC), Open RAN, one‑network architectures, Wi‑Fi offload strategies, and satellite connectivity
- Lead development, negotiation, and execution of global commercial frameworks, including contracts, SOWs, amendments, and structured internal and external change‑request processes
- Translate long‑term strategic vision into executable commercial agreements with clear scope, service levels, deliverables, timelines, technical solutions, cybersecurity requirements, data privacy protections, billing and reporting mechanisms, and globally competitive commercial terms
- Build and evaluate business cases, pricing structures, margin analysis, data usage and cost models, and competitive assessments; present clear, data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership
- Lead and influence cross‑functional teams across engineering, vehicle programs, legal, regulatory, purchasing, finance, sales, and operations to ensure alignment and disciplined execution
- Partner closely with senior leaders across technical and commercial organizations, serving as a thought leader who synthesizes complex technical, commercial, and market insights into clear decision options grounded in global best practices and proof points
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives by integrating connectivity strategy into broader GM enterprise priorities and vehicle platform decisions
- Define KPIs and operating metrics to monitor service performance, including provisioning success, profile swaps, coverage, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Oversee smooth execution of contractual and operational deliverables by anticipating technical, operational, and commercial risks and driving resolution through continuous collaboration with connectivity partners
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on network provisioning, certification processes, launch readiness, performance optimization, and AI‑driven network and customer experience monitoring tools
