Bacardi is seeking a Corporate Development Senior Analyst to join their team. This role involves leading smaller initiatives and supporting senior management in achieving the group's objectives through robust financial analyses and strategic evaluations of investment opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Work as an integral member of the Corporate Development team to deliver robust analyses and preparation of preliminary insights across investment and acquisition projects
- Support development of rigorous analysis to evaluate the attractiveness of opportunities from both a strategic and financial perspective
- Undertake complex, quantitative assessments, in particular financial modeling, focusing on financial valuation of potential investment opportunities
- Build, and lead, updates for financial DCF (discounted cash flow) models from market inputs to valuation and sensitivities, including tax and working capital
- Perform economic, market and industry evaluations to support the strategic assessment, valuation and due diligence
- Able to offer suggestions and challenges where appropriate during team meetings, in and outside of the Corporate Development team, including challenging management assumptions on forecasts
- Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to deliver information and reports on a timely and efficient basis
- Support on-going assessment of minority investments, including assessing attractiveness and up-to-date valuation
- Help prepare clear, insightful presentations to management and all key stakeholders to support the discussion and decision-making process
Requirements:
- Currently, and/or successfully completed, the analyst program at a top-tier investment banking firm
- Relevant experience in corporate finance and M&A (mergers & acquisitions). 2-4 years' experience preferred
- Strong knowledge / background in valuation and financial analysis and understanding of core valuation concepts
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Commercial acumen / experience an advantage
- Able to produce high quality presentations summarizing key findings, conclusions and recommendations
- Excellent team working skills – ability to build relationships, engage effectively and earn respect of all stakeholders
- Flexibility to cope with the uneven nature of M&A workflow
- High level of discretion and integrity with experience of working in a confidential environment
- Strong work ethic, rigorous approach to tasks and keen attention to details
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- Ability to work in a multidiscipline team and multifunction project teams
- Ability to work effectively and achieve results in a matrix organization
- Skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- 2-4 years' experience preferred
- Experience in the Spirits and / or Beverage industry is a distinct advantage and / or a consumer products luxury goods business environment
