Workplace Plan Provision Specialist

Vanguard is a company focused on the long-term financial wellbeing of its clients. As a Workplace Plan Provision Specialist, you will lead the configuration of retirement plan systems, ensuring compliance and delivering reliable outcomes through effective communication and expert execution.

Responsibilities:

• Leads the review and interpretation of client plan documents, translating provisions into clear system and service requirements while ensuring compliance with ERISA and internal policies
• Designs, configures, and implements system setup across all relevant platforms, applying deep expertise to support complex implementations and ownership of the setup project plan, timeline, and execution
• Partners closely with clients and internal stakeholders to position system capabilities, gather requirements, manage change requests, resolve issues, and provide clear, proactive project updates to ensure expectations are met
• Oversees intake and prioritization of system setup and change requests, ensuring timely, accurate completion and adherence to service standards
• Identifies risks and resolves issues collaboratively, applying sound judgment to balance compliance, client needs, and operational efficiency
• Reviews transaction- and service-related participant communications, partnering with Participant Education to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with plan design and system setup
• Ensures accuracy and audit readiness through thorough documentation, quality checks, and adherence to established control and validation processes
• Contributes to continuous improvement by providing feedback on system lead processes and recommending enhancements to tools, workflows, and execution models
• Demonstrates leadership by supporting peers through knowledge sharing, issue resolution, and training
• Participates in special initiatives and additional assignments in support of broader business objectives
