EnSoil Algae™ is focused on driving sales growth in the agricultural sector, and they are seeking a Sales & Business Development Specialist for the North Central Region. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and maintaining sales with existing customers to support the company's growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities in target market(s) and geographic region(s)
- Sell Enlightened Soil products, including EnSoil Algae, to growers, affiliates, distributors, and other strategic partners
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing clients, regularly communicating with key account contacts to ensure satisfaction and continued growth
- Establish and expand new customer accounts while growing sales within existing accounts
- Drive lead generation, prospecting, and client acquisition efforts to support revenue growth
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to company sales growth objectives as established by leadership
- Manage and maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline within the CRM system
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to implement business development and sales strategies
- Assist with the coordination of sales efforts across multiple territories and support other sales representatives as needed
- Develop and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders within the agricultural industry
- Represent the company at industry events such as trade shows, conferences, field days, and networking opportunities
- Assist in the implementation, management, and data collection of research initiatives and product trials related to EnSoil Algae
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- 5 years of proven sales experience in agricultural B2B business development or sales
- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Strong knowledge of regenerative agriculture
- Fast-paced, start-up company mentality
- Proficiency with CRM and ERP software applications
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in order to express technical and nontechnical concepts
- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
- Ability to handle a diverse range of responsibilities
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Able to work remotely and travel when necessary
- Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills with an ability to overcome obstacles as an individual and with group coordination
