Moxa is a global leader in industrial networking, cybersecurity, and automation, and they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales growth in the power vertical. The role involves developing sales strategies, expanding market share, and building strategic partnerships within the power generation, transmission, and distribution markets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share and achieve revenue quota through strategic account planning, market penetration, partner development, and consistently update CRM software with sales activities and pipeline progress
- Expand Moxa’s presence in the power generation, transmission, and distribution markets
- Develop key partnerships with utilities, EPCs, system integrators, and technology providers
- Position Moxa as a thought leader by engaging in industry events, trade shows, and forums
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop tailored solutions
- Become the SME by monitoring new market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar major is a plus
- 5+ years of business development/sales in industrial networking, cybersecurity, or automation within the power, utilities, or renewable energy sectors
- Strong understanding of substation automation, SCADA systems, and grid modernization
- Proven ability to build strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth
- Execution-focused, persistent, and results-driven with a growth mindset
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to engage customers and partners
- Professional Certificates/Licenses: Cisco CCNA is a plus
- Familiar with IEC 61850 is a plus
