The Judge Group is seeking an IT Business System Analyst who plays a key role in improving operational efficiency and optimizing system workflows. This role involves collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams to enhance processes and ensure successful adoption of new solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements
- Lead requirements workshops, technical walkthroughs, and cross‑functional discussions
- Analyze data flows, system dependencies, and integration points, with a strong emphasis on SQL‑based data analysis and API‑driven processes
- Use SQL to investigate data issues, validate system behavior, and support integration efforts
- Evaluate API interactions, data mapping, and system interoperability to ensure accurate and efficient data exchange
- Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify technical requirements and support solution design
- Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process documentation
- Ensure documentation aligns with stakeholder expectations and supports seamless implementation
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Capture detailed meeting notes, decisions, and action items to maintain alignment
- Facilitate ongoing communication between business and IT teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements and deliverables
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in business systems analysis or a related role
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
- Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and data flows
- Proficiency in developing BRDs and translating complex requirements into actionable plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate requirements walkthroughs and UAT with cross‑functional teams
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and research abilities
- Ability to work independently and build collaborative relationships across teams
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (MBA)
