FusionAuth is a fast-growing startup and leading provider of customer identity and access management (CIAM) software headquartered in Denver, Colorado. They are seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager to build the content engine from the ground up, define the editorial strategy, and create compelling content that resonates with technical leaders. This role involves hands-on production with strategic ownership, utilizing AI to enhance content creation and distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic content narratives in partnership with product marketing and leadership that support FusionAuth's competitive positioning and buyer journey
- Create compelling content across all stages of the buyer journey, from top-of-funnel thought leadership to bottom-of-funnel decision support
- Produce high-impact assets including ebooks, guides, benchmarking reports, evaluation guides, case studies, videos, blogs, and technical briefs
- Write content that builds arguments and reframes how buyers think about identity, authorization, and security architecture, not just explains features
- Partner with demand gen to tailor content for integrated campaigns, ABM programs, paid channels, and nurture flows, with a focus on mapping content to pipeline outcomes
- Translate complex identity and authorization concepts into clear, credible content that resonates with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, platform architects, and senior technical practitioners
- Work closely with product marketing, developer success, and internal SMEs to source technical substance and ensure accuracy without losing depth
- Use AI tools to accelerate content creation across the full lifecycle-from research and outlining through drafting, editing, optimization, and repurposing
- Experiment with AI-driven formats and workflows to push innovation in how content gets produced and distributed
- Own and manage a strategic editorial calendar aligned to ICPs, verticals, campaign needs, and product priorities
- Build and manage repeatable content workflows, keeping multiple cross-functional workstreams moving simultaneously
- Apply content SEO best practices including keyword strategy and content optimization, leveraging AI tools and platforms for execution
- Coordinate with designers, freelancers, and contractors on a project basis as needed
- Partner with demand gen on content performance measurement, building toward content attribution and pipeline impact reporting over time
Requirements:
- 5+ years of content marketing experience in a B2B software environment
- Demonstrated ability to write content that resonates with technical buyers. You can show us specific pieces you personally wrote
- Strong storytelling instincts. You build arguments that change how buyers think, not just explain topics
- Creative thinker who goes beyond standard B2B content formats and brings unexpected concepts that still map to business outcomes
- Demand generation fluency. You understand how content drives pipeline, how nurture sequences work, and how to build content that supports a complex multi-stakeholder buying process
- A mature, demonstrable AI workflow that meaningfully multiplies your output across research, production, optimization, and repurposing
- Excellent writing. Clean, precise, technically credible prose that a senior engineer would read and respect
- Operational discipline–you can build an editorial calendar, manage cross-functional stakeholders, keep multiple projects on track, and create repeatable systems
- Content SEO literacy and ability to leverage AI tools for keyword strategy and content optimization
- Comfort working hands-on. This is an IC role where you are the primary content producer and you own the program
- Experience in security, identity, developer tools, or infrastructure a plus
