Analyst | Business Intelligence & Data Insights | Fall 2026

CBIZ Inc. is a leading professional services advisor to middle market businesses and organizations nationwide. The Analyst, Business Intelligence & Data Insights is responsible for supporting data-driven decision making across the firm by providing actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and visualization.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and interpret large sets of financial and operational data from various sources, including ERP, CRM, and other business systems
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik)
• Perform ad hoc analyses to support business initiatives, including profitability, productivity, client trends, and compliance
• Collaborate with business units and leadership to understand data requirements and deliver accurate, timely insights
• Identify trends, patterns, and actionable opportunities for improvement in accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services
• Support data quality initiatives and ensure data integrity across reporting solutions
• Document processes, methodologies, and data definitions to support transparency and repeatability
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging BI technologies relevant to accounting and professional services
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, compelling formats
• Assist in the automation of reporting and analytics processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related analytics roles (experience in accounting/professional services preferred)
• Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of SQL and data querying preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience working with financial and operational data sets is highly desirable
• Attention to detail and commitment to data quality
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Internship experience in accounting or related field preferred
