PerkinElmer is seeking a Business Development Manager responsible for achieving assigned sales quotas and goals for customers within a defined territory. The role involves prospecting and developing business, responding to RFPs, and coordinating account resources with marketing and engineering representatives.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving assigned sales quotas and goals for customers located within a defined geographic territory or account list
- Prospects and develops business, responds to RFPs, and develops proposals for presentation to customer
- Coordinates account resources with representatives from marketing, pre-sales engineering and development
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree or Masters in Chemistry or, Economics Business or other equivalent discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience working in the Analytical industry with a proven track record in growing sales strategies
- Experience managing channel partners and related business processes
- Dynamic, resourceful and with a strong level of influence and negotiation skills
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities. Demonstrate ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment and matrixed organization
- A sound knowledge of business management & dealers management
- Good negotiation skills and communication with high-level management and customers
- Conduct market and potential clients' research for our target category
- Develop localized winning market/product strategy to uncover new business opportunities from inbound and marketing-generated leads Identify target accounts for new outbound sales campaigns
- Identify new business opportunities to innovative marketing leads, namely collaborating and extending local channel partners to increase market visibility and coverage
- Craft business proposals and presentations for prospective clients
- Identify and implement strategies to consolidate business activities and increase client satisfaction. This involves market research and application of Business Development principles and practices
- Engage the local channel partners in the use of SFDC to build strong business funnel health and traceability
- Collaborate with internally in coordinating post sales activities such as timely delivery, escalation etc
- Collaborate with internal stack holder in coordinating presales activities such as organizing client meetings etc
- Ability to travel extensively within short notice
- Positive work attitude, team player and assertive personality with drive and high energy
- Advanced MS Excel experience required
- Strong analytical skills, ability to draw insights and trends from market data and research
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills
- Proven ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, high-growth and matrix organization
