User Experience Designer

Russell Tobin is representing a leading financial services organization seeking a User Experience Designer / UX Architect to support a high-visibility digital transformation initiative. The role involves designing and enhancing multi-channel application experiences, collaborating with product, engineering, and operations teams to improve user experiences for both customers and internal users.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end UX design across complex application journeys (discovery, flows, wireframes, prototyping, and final UI)
• Design for both digital self-service and banker-assisted experiences
• Partner with Product Managers and Agile teams to define requirements aligned with user needs, business goals, and compliance standards
• Deliver high-quality design artifacts, interaction models, and annotated specs for development
• Improve existing experiences by resolving usability issues and optimizing workflows
• Conduct design QA and iterate based on user feedback, analytics, and operational insights
• Support feature enhancements, releases, and continuous improvement efforts
• Act as the onshore UX lead, collaborating with and guiding offshore design partners
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and advocate for UX priorities in sprint planning
• Communicate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders at all levels
• Contribute to the overall UX strategy for consumer-facing application journeys
• Champion best practices in usability, accessibility, and inclusive design
• Help drive alignment across cross-functional teams and reduce ambiguity in complex systems

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years of experience in UX, Interaction, or Experience Design
• Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work on complex systems or workflows
• Expertise in user flows, interaction design, prototyping, and visual design
• Experience with modern design tools (Figma required; Sketch/Adobe tools a plus)
• Experience working in Agile product environments
• Background in financial services, enterprise platforms, or regulated environments
• Experience designing multi-channel or multi-user systems
• Familiarity with cloud-based applications
• Experience collaborating with distributed or offshore teams
• Healthcare industry experience is also considered relevant
