Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. The VP/General Manager of Product will be responsible for the overall business performance, strategy, and product leadership across multiple product categories, focusing on growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for all product categories to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive positioning
- Own full P&L responsibilities across vinyl siding, F&R, MAT product categories
- Drive revenue growth and overall financial performance
- Deliver EBITDA targets in line with plan expectations and develop and implement plans for continued YOY improvement
- Drive lifecycle management: pricing, innovation, rationalization and differentiation of products, services and go-to-market strategies
- Lead all product planning and execution activities to ensure alignment with business priorities
- Drive cross-functional alignment with marketing, sales, and operations
- Ensure each product category has clearly defined priorities, roadmaps, and KPIs
- Ensure processes and systems are in place to enhance product development efficiency and decision-making
- Fostering an environment, including ways of working and behaviors, that is congruent with our mission and values
- Facilitating organization-wide cohesion and keeping all functions aligned with the vision to be a premier company and deliver optimum customer experiences that, in turn, will support and drive revenue and earnings growth
- Actively serving on the leadership team and being involved in the highest level of decision making
- Actively develop and partner with cross functional operating group teams
- Ensuring everyone is working against the right priorities, receiving coaching and feedback to promote performance, and experiencing exciting opportunities for growth
- Serving as a role model and champion for employee engagement retention
- Growth aligned to our strategy through customer knowledge and insight, product mix, customer engagement and service, and strategic pricing and terms
- Focusing on sustaining and growing our market share through revenue growth in products, customers, and markets
- Responsible for shoring up the operational fundamentals that will promote a solid foundation for profitable growth and predictability
- Collaborating with our Cornerstone Building Brands cross-functional teams together to drive tailored strategies that create mutual value, make us easier to do business with, and help our customers and Cornerstone Building Brands win
- Coordinating with cross functional teams (e,g. sales, product, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.) to deliver excellence and execute projects to create better product assortments and SKU simplification
- Being a trusted partner with our customers working to growing market share
- Conducting win/loss analysis to help the business better understand, anticipate, or respond to changes in customer expectations and the competitive landscape
- Driving margin improvement through cost takeout initiatives, optimized customer footprint and capacity utilization, enhanced product mix across all categories, and optimal pricing strategies
- Leverage the salesforce to deliver strategies unique to each product category and reporting business unit
- Track, measure, and assess KPIs that are unique to individual product lines, while influencing critical workstreams with multiple merchant organizations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in appropriate discipline preferred
- Prior experience with full P&L responsibility in a multi-product business and matrixed organization
- Strong background in product management and strategy
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational alignment
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
