Rex is a privately held ecosystem of entrepreneurial ventures focusing on real estate, technology, insurance, and AI. They are seeking a Founding Business Development Representative to ignite go-to-market momentum for their AI-driven technology ventures, generating demand and building a pipeline for scalable revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Execute outbound prospecting via email, phone, LinkedIn, and other creative channels
- Research and identify target accounts aligned with each product’s ICP (Ideal Customer Profile)
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads, securing meetings for the Sales Team and product leads
- Craft concise outreach messaging, leveraging feedback to continuously improve conversion rates
- Track and report activity in CRM tools to build repeatable outreach processes
- Partner with the product team to refine scripts, objection handling, and playbooks
- Gather prospect feedback from early conversations and feed insights back to the team
- Support early-stage campaigns (events, webinars, industry outreach) to generate top-of-funnel activity
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role (B2B tech preferred)
- Relentless prospector with comfort in cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn outreach
- Coachable and eager to learn, with a bias toward action and experimentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can spark curiosity in a few sentences
- Highly organized with the ability to manage a high volume of outreach activity
- Thrives in ambiguity and fast-changing startup environments
- Mission-driven, scrappy, and excited to help launch new ventures from the ground up
