Sidekick (YC P26) is an early-stage, Y Combinator-backed startup that is building an AI assistant for frontline and manufacturing workers. They are seeking a Business Development Representative Intern to engage with warm leads, start conversations about Sidekick's value, and book demos for the team, all while gaining hands-on sales experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Reach out to a curated list of warm leads that we provide (no cold list-building required)
- Start conversations with business owners and operators and explain why Sidekick matters to frontline-heavy businesses
- Qualify prospects and book demos for the founding team
- Track your outreach and results, and iterate on what's working
- Share feedback from the field to help sharpen our messaging and targeting
Requirements:
- Current college student (all years welcome)
- Comfortable and confident on the phone, you don't mind dialing all day
- Persistent and resilient, you treat a 'no' as practice for the next 'yes'
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated and coachable, with a bias toward action
- Available to commit consistent hours through the summer and into September
- Bonus: prior SDR, BDR, sales, club, or other customer-facing experience
