Associate Manager – Project Business Development, Finance, Accounting

Role Overview

• Performs all federal and non-federal project financial operations.
• Creates and updates project annual budgets.
• Manages project accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintains a schedule of financial grant deliverables.
• Creates cost and pricing proposals for new opportunities.
• Independently prepares monthly/quarterly/annual project financial reports.
• Supports all audit activities related to the various projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
• 6-10 years of progressive experience in financial grant management, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, GAAP and federal awards (USAID, CDC, NIH, or similar).
• Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of USG Rules and Regulations, including FAR (especially Subpart 31.7) and 22CFR200.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
• Strong experience managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and project (donor) reporting.
• Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in presenting financial reports to non-finance audiences.
• Microsoft Excel experience, including pivot tables etc.
