Multi-Color Corporation is the global leader of premium printed label solutions, and they are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth within the vitamin, supplement, health care, home care, and wellness product sectors. This role focuses on prospecting and supporting the sales team to enhance market presence and communicate the company's value proposition in packaging solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect for potential new clients - Cold call and set up meetings potential clients and decision makers Work with team to develop proposals that address client needs, concerns, and objectives. Participate in pricing the solution/service. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships. Work with technical staff, analytics group, marketing, and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends. Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate. Enter and manage data accurately within the company’s CRM or other sales management systems. Forecast and meet sales targets Track and record activity on accounts
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in business development, sales support, or related roles
- Previous experience working in the vitamin/supplement or health/home/personal care sectors required
- Willingness to travel 30-40% to customer or sites when needed
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to research and identify potential customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems (Salesforce a plus)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
