Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced technical sales professional to join their team as a Business Development Manager. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic customer relationships within the materials science market.
Responsibilities:
- Represent CPS Technologies to current and prospective customers as a trusted technical and commercial partner
- Execute growth strategies by developing, managing, and expanding customer relationships
- Promote CPS’ products and capabilities with a deep understanding of technical applications and market positioning
- Achieve individual sales targets and strategic account objectives
- Proactively identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities
- Manage key accounts and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product development, operations, and quality teams to address customer needs
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations (including trade shows, webinars, and on-site customer visits)
- Generate quotes, manage sales pipelines, and lead negotiations to close business
- Track opportunities and maintain accurate forecasts using CRM tools
- Contribute to quarterly forecasts, annual plans, and long-term strategic planning
- Ensure timely communication and coordination across internal teams to support customer deliverables
- Support team coverage and customer needs during absences or travel
- Maintain compliance with ISO standards and internal procedures
- Adhere to all applicable safety protocols
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Materials Science (required)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in technical sales or business development within relevant industries
- Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles and revenue generation
- Must come from the Aerospace, Defense, or Military background
- Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic and international)
- U.S. citizenship required
