WindBorne Systems is supercharging weather forecasts with a unique proprietary data source: a global constellation of next-generation smart weather balloons. They are seeking a Business Development Associate to expand their work in data-as-a-service and software-as-a-service sales, focusing on selling global atmospheric data and forecasts to the U.S. government and commercial customers in the climate space.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: find WindBorne’s next anchor customers, qualify them, and form engagement strategies
- Customer Expansion: leverage our current contracts and relationships to grow WindBorne’s existing footprint
- Alliance Cultivation: Continually grow and strengthen WindBorne’s foundational customer relationships
- Sales Lifecycle Execution: Be the driving force behind every step of the sales cycle
- Technical Expertise: Become an expert on WindBorne’s products, differentiators, and our place as an authority in the weather industry
