LONGHORN STAFFING SOLUTIONS is a high-impact energy and industrial service company focusing on operational excellence, safety, and performance. The I&E Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating revenue for the Electrical Business Unit and supporting business development efforts across other units.
Responsibilities:
- Find new opportunities for the Electrical Business Unit in the specified markets including but not limited to: Oil & Gas, Renewable Natural Gas, Data Centers, Solar and others as directed by the Director of Business Development
- Build relationships with current and potential decision makers within each account
- Develop strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote growth and customer satisfaction
- Assist BD Team Members with Electrical sales efforts, including client calls and in-person meetings
- Find creative ways to increase the market’s awareness of the Clients Energy Service’s Electrical Business Unit
- Communicate with the Electrical Operations team to develop sales strategies for each individual project
- Stay up to date with market trends and activity of competitors
- Provide frequent updates regarding market conditions and trends to ensure competitive strategic and tactical pricing strategies
- Attend industry events and conferences to network, build relationships and find new opportunities
- Keep accounts, contacts and opportunities updated in the CRM (Salesforce)
- Make cold calls to expand client base
- Promote and prospect opportunities for all other Business Units
- Attend bid walks on behalf of the Electrical Business Unit
- Participate in and provide input for bid review meetings
- Regularly visit job sites to maintain rapport with the crew team members and identify opportunities for improvement
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of experience in an outside sales role specifically to electrical construction services
- Knowledge of how I&E work is bid, negotiated and awarded to target markets
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to maintain I&E contracts and opportunities in the CRM
- Demonstrated ability to hit targets and strategize for growth
- Experience supporting field-based electrical services
