Xscape Photonics is redefining how the world moves and processes information with next-generation photonic technologies. The HR Generalist will manage core human resources processes across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, and compliance, in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full employee lifecycle, including:
- End-to-end onboarding (equipment, systems access, documentation, orientation, first-week experience)
- Employee role changes and promotions
- Offboarding and terminations
- Maintain accurate and compliant employment documentation (offer letters, employment agreements, separation materials, etc.)
- Ensure HRIS is accurate, clean, and up-to-date
- Ensure employee records are properly maintained and compliant with applicable regulations
- Generate HR reports, analytics, and workforce data as needed
- Apply strong working knowledge of California employment law to guide HR decisions
- Manage employee transitions, including terminations and severance, with consistency, professionalism, and care
- Support benefits and leave administration in collaboration with external partners
- Handle sensitive or difficult employee situations with composure and good judgment
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to:
- Coordinate interview scheduling
- Support recruiting activities
- Support candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle
- Assist with coordinating company events, employee engagement initiatives, and office activities
- Support general office management as needed
- Contribute to a positive, high-performing workplace culture
