ZOMI Technology is building an AI-native decision layer for food discovery, aiming to enhance how users choose what to eat. They are seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive merchant acquisition across Calgary, from lead generation to onboarding, while building relationships with local restaurants.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the full merchant acquisition cycle across key business districts and high-rated restaurants in Calgary, from lead generation to visit, demo, signing, onboarding, and first order
- Build a steady pipeline through multi-touch outbound efforts, including in-person prospecting, Google Maps and social media outreach, cold email and phone calls, and local community referrals
- Identify high-potential restaurants, understand merchant pain points, and clearly position ZOMI’s value proposition
- Conduct on-site demos and handle objections with confidence, clarity, and strong closing ability
- Work cross-functionally with the team to ensure signed merchants go live smoothly and start generating early traction
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline stage, blockers, and next actions
- Deliver weekly pipeline updates, territory insights, and action plans based on field learnings
