Product Support Engineer III

The Product Support Engineer III will provide deep technical support for the Teradata Database, helping diagnose issues and restore critical systems for enterprise-scale data analytics platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Provide deep technical support for the Teradata Database and related technologies
• Help customers diagnose issues, identify root causes, and restore critical systems
• Resolve challenging problems efficiently and communicate clearly with stakeholders
• Contribute to an exceptional customer experience

Requirements:

• U. S. Citizenship required and must be physically located within the United States
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
• 10+ years of experience in technical support, product support, or a related engineering role
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience with database technologies, including SQL and/or NoSQL
• Proven ability to clearly communicate technical findings, root cause analysis, and resolutions to diverse audiences
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to navigate complex technical environments
• Comfortable working across teams and managing multiple support issues simultaneously
• Ability to clearly articulate solutions
• Willingness to participate in alternate shifts and on‑call rotations to support a 24x7 operation
• Experience reviewing logs, scripts, and basic code (e. g. , Python, JavaScript, C#)
• Strong customer‑facing communication skills and sound technical judgment
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a peer‑review‑focused, team‑oriented environment
• Hands‑on experience with the Teradata Database and Teradata client applications
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and/or private cloud infrastructure (e. g. , VMware)
• Familiarity with the broader Teradata ecosystem and data integration tools
