Clue Insights is an innovative tech company revolutionizing the construction market with their AI-powered asset management platform. They are seeking a driven Business Development Representative to engage with construction firms, qualify leads, and contribute to revenue growth through high-volume outbound prospecting.
Responsibilities:
- Execute high-volume outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn to target construction companies and fleet managers across the US
- Identify and research key decision-makers at general contractors, civil contractors, and construction firms with significant equipment fleets
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads through structured discovery conversations, assessing fit and urgency before handing off to Account Executives
- Build and maintain accurate records of all prospect activity, pipeline status, and notes in the CRM (HubSpot)
- Partner with AEs to develop territory strategies and account-based outreach sequences
- Hit and exceed monthly KPIs for dials, connects, qualified meetings booked, and pipeline generated
- Provide consistent feedback to marketing and leadership on messaging, objections, and market signals from the field
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in a BDR, SDR, or outbound sales role — you've made cold calls before and you're good at it
- SaaS sales experience required; familiarity with construction, equipment management, or field operations software is a major advantage
- Proven ability to hit outbound activity targets and convert cold outreach into booked meetings
- Strong communicator — clear, direct, and confident on the phone and in writing
- Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change in a fast-growing startup environment
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and sales engagement platforms (Outreach, Apollo, etc.)
- AI-Native: Daily user of modern AI tools for real work. Uses AI to write, analyze, research, automate, and solve problems. Stays current with new tools and actively upgrades their workflow as better AI tools appear
