SmartCommerce is a remote-first company focused on accelerating commerce through innovative technology. They are seeking a Sales Account Executive to find business opportunities, manage customer relationships, and expand their customer base while working collaboratively across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed business plans designed to attain predetermined goals and quotas
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to securing the sale
- Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long-term partnerships
- Effectively present products to prospective clients
- Provide professional after-sales support to maximize customer loyalty
- Remain in regular contact with your clients to understand and meet their needs to nurture and grow existing partnerships
- Collaborate across the company to respond to complaints and resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction in order to maintain the company's reputation
- Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data
- Communicate and report on successes and obstacles to overcome
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of quota carrying Sales experience in Enterprise Sales
- History and evidence of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Comfortable helping to lead complex contract negotiations
- Ability to lead analysis-driven negotiation processes and have proven closing skills (internal or external)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- Proven experience as a Sales Professional
- Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Salesforce) is a plus
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Superior organizational and time-management skills
- Highly developed business acumen
- Enthusiastic and passionate about sales
- College degree required, BSc or BA in business administration, sales or marketing preferred
- Experience working with brand manufacturers (both large and emerging brands)
- Experience selling software solutions and/or marketing solutions
