Kforce Inc is seeking a QA Manual Engineer to ensure the accuracy of GA4 and Google Tag Manager data. This role involves manual validation of tracking implementations and collaboration with developers to confirm that analytics data is reliable for business decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Manually validate GA4 and Google Tag Manager implementations across the eCommerce website
- Use browser developer tools (Chrome and Edge DevTools) to inspect network requests, console output, and event payloads
- Inspect and validate the website data layer directly using the browser console
- Confirm that events, parameters, and data values align with the defined tracking plan and business requirements
- Work with colleague to ensure validation is completed according to project milestones and timelines
- Document findings, defects, and validation results in a clear, organized manner that can be shared with technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Verify GA4 events, parameters, and conversions
- Confirm correct tag firing behavior
- Identify missing, duplicated, or malformed events
- Partner With The Developer To
- Report issues clearly and reproducibly
- Validate fixes after updates are deployed
- Confirm readiness for release
Requirements:
- Experience as a Manual QA Engineer, Validation Analyst, or Analytics QA in web-based environments
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working through repetitive validation scenarios
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with developers and project leadership
- Strong hands-on experience using Chrome and Edge Developer Tools
- Strong hands-on experience using Omnibug for analytics tag inspection and validation
- Ability to use the browser console to inspect and read the website data layer
- Ability to validate JavaScript objects and values
- Working understanding of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) event-based tracking concepts
- Working understanding of Google Tag Manager firing logic (tags, triggers, variables)
- Ability to read and interpret JavaScript and JSON structures (not required to write production code)
- Experience validating marketing and analytics tags provided by multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with structured tracking plans or analytics documentation
- Prior Experience Validating Analytics Implementations During GA4 migrations
