The Project Manager II will lead the implementation of the annual Stars work plan, managing medium to large-scale projects while ensuring quality improvement and compliance to enhance member experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall direction of projects from analysis through implementation
- Lead cross-functional project teams and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders
- Facilitate project meetings and communication with stakeholders
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and on budget
- Identify, document, and lead mitigation of risks to project timelines and budgets
- Provide ongoing mentorship to associates and cross-functional teams with less PM experience, including support with workplans, timelines, risk mitigation, and executive-ready communication
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a formal project management role in a managed care or healthcare delivery environment
- Proven success in managing and delivering cross-functional projects
- Working knowledge of standard project management methodologies and best practices
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a polished executive presence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, SmartSheet, and other project management platforms
- Demonstrates curiosity and willingness to learn emerging technologies, including AI tools like Copilot, to drive continuous improvement and efficiency
- Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP certification is strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months to 1 year after beginning employment
