The Manager, Instructional Design will oversee the development and management of training solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving performance improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- You will manage the analysis, design, and development of highly complex training and performance support solutions
- You will support the implementation and evaluation of highly complex training and performance support solutions
- You will lead and manage a cross-functional team ensuring alignment with business goals, providing direction and tasking, empowering and enabling the team to execute in a manner that’s best for the business, while driving accountability
- You will build and manage relationships with business partners/stakeholders within Dexcom to understand training needs and align solutions with critical business needs
- You will support HR L&D leadership activities and initiatives, including strategy development, programmatic reviews and briefings, internal process improvement, vendor relations, etc
Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of industry experience
- 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience
- Your demonstrated success aligning teams on expectations, translating requirements into clear actions, and driving accountability to deliver results
- Your proven effectiveness in talent development and performance management
- Your ability to establish a vision and strategy for effective learning solutions that align with business goals and imperatives
- Your ability to develop and maintain project plans and schedules that integrate resources, tasks, and timeliness to deliver desired learning outcomes
- Your extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and application, including, but not limited to: Adult learning theory, Needs assessment approaches and techniques, Performance analysis methods and techniques, Methods and techniques for developing learning and behavioral outcomes, Instructional design models and processes, Criteria used to assess the quality and relevance of instructional content in relation to the desired learning or behavioral outcomes, Selection of delivery options and media for training and learning events to achieve the desired learning or behavioral outcomes, Ability to design and develop both knowledge-based and performance-based assessments to the desired learning or behavioral outcomes
- Your experience using a learning management system for both instructor-led and web-based training
- Your experience helping individuals or teams identify goals, develop realistic action plans, seek development opportunities, and monitor progress and accountability
- Your proven success working with remote teams
