Job Title: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer
Location: Baltimore, MD 21202 (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) modules:
- Email Studio
- Journey Builder
- Automation Studio
- Content Builder
- Mobile Connect (SMS)
- Design and develop:
- Automated journeys
- Triggered email/SMS campaigns
- Scheduled communications
- Support SMS enablement, including:
- Short code provisioning
- Keyword setup
- Opt-in/opt-out compliance
- Build and manage:
- Data Extensions
- SQL queries
- Audience segmentation
- Develop dynamic and personalized content using AMPscript
- Integrate SFMC with Salesforce and external/state systems
- Troubleshoot:
- Campaign execution issues
- SMS delivery issues
- Data/automation failures
- Follow government compliance standards (PII, security, privacy)
- Create technical documentation and support knowledge transfer
- Adhere to PMO, change control, and security policies
Required Skills
- 3+ years of Salesforce Marketing Cloud development
- Strong hands-on with:
- AMPscript
- SQL (within SFMC)
- Experience with Mobile Connect (SMS) and compliance
- Knowledge of:
- Consent management
- Short code provisioning
- Experience in regulated environments (Government / Healthcare)
- SFMC integration with Salesforce CRM
- Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG / Section 508)
- Ability to work in state-led staff augmentation model
Preferred
- Experience with government agencies or health programs
- Familiarity with security & compliance-heavy environments
