DICK'S Sporting Goods is committed to positively impacting lives through sports and is seeking a Sr. Manager for Integrated Sponsorship Strategy & Marketing. This role involves building relationships and strategies for sponsorship activation, managing teams, and ensuring effective communication of brand messages while overseeing budget management and execution of sponsorship initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships and activation strategies with assigned, and evaluate prospective properties that will enhance brand loyalty, drive strategic initiatives and drive traffic and sales to DICK'S Sporting Goods
- Work with internal groups such as, merchants, legal, brand, integrated marketing, community marketing, social media marketing and marketing planning, along with DICK’S owned brands, to identify key messages, campaigns and strategies that can be implemented within our partnerships and adhering to legal guidelines around each
- Develop an execution plan for all sponsorship assets to communicate these messages and campaigns effectively
- Build effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals by establishing common objectives and a shared mindset, manage execution responsibilities and workload of direct reports to achieve department deliverables on time and with quality, develops talent through coaching, feedback, exposure, and stretch assignments in order to meet their own career goals as well as the organization’s priorities, partner with department leadership to establish strategic staffing and succession plans; successfully deliver on proposed staffing objectives
- Partner with agencies on sponsorship activation and execution to utilize all sponsorship assets
- Create engaging experiences at events that bring the DICK'S Sporting Goods brand to life at all levels - from grassroots in the communities we serve, to regional and national in scope
- Work with external groups such as agency partners to execute and deliver against activations and strategic initiatives within our partnerships
- Work with agency partners to recap all events and sponsorship activation
- Develop post-event evaluation and set success metrics for future projects
- Manage creative requests and content development with cross-functional groups to ensure sponsorship elements are fulfilled on time with meaningful and relevant content (social, email, direct mail, integrated marketing, brand, etc.)
- Plan and manage budgets as it relates to assigned sponsorship properties and activation
- Overall assistance in management of the entire Community and Sports Marketing budget and monthly forecast process
- Assist and support Director of National Partnership Strategy & Activations on evaluation, execution and activation of larger sponsorship properties, events and initiatives as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7-10 years experience
- Property Expertise: Proven success managing 'Power 5' collegiate relationships or major properties (Olympics/Paralympics)
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to see 'the big picture' and translate brand goals into specific sponsorship activations
- Financial Acumen: Strong experience in budget management and ROI analysis for multi-million dollar portfolios
- Communication: A persuasive storyteller who can present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and external partners
