JOB SUMMARY
The Site Coordinator will work closely with the Site Superintendent to efficiently manage day-to-day projects and assist with field coordination. This position will be accountable for: updating drawings, measuring site quantities, documenting field records for quality, production, labour, and materials. This position will be a champion in promoting Toro Aluminum’s health and safety program, while assisting the Site Superintendent and Project Manager meet our objectives. This role will have the opportunity to monitor sub-contractors and Toro support.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Conducts basic safety inspections and training. Takes initiative and works closely with the Site team in identifying hazards and corrective action
• Assists with inspections and site reviews
• Supports the Superintendents in monitoring quality and conducts simple quality inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Supports the Site Superintendent with project monitoring and planning
• Assists tracking time, materials and equipment
• Accountable for project documentation, production, and progress
• Assists with budget monitoring, tracking costs and quantities etc.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and Toro Aluminum stakeholders
• Performs other duties as required by the needs of the business

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• High School Diploma
• Postsecondary degree or diploma in related field preferred (Architecture, Construction, Building Science, Engineering)
• Management (Post-secondary in Management is an asset)
Experience
• 2-4 years of experience in construction or a related discipline
• 1-3 years of experience in the Window and Door industry is not required, but would be an asset
Skills
• Basic knowledge of, or ability to learn, construction specifications, methods, and procedures.
• Ability to learn and/or apply basic construction principles to solve problems
• Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders internally and externally
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong team player
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and construction related softwar
Salary Range: $50000 - $100000
