Infosys is a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, seeking a Principal Consultant - Product Management to join their team. The role involves developing strong relationships with IPS customers, leading product envisioning in specific policy domains, and managing product lifecycles to ensure client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Have domain expertise in the labor, workforce, commerce or higher-ed field that will allow innovative capability/feature planning and design, manage the specifications for their development, and monitor their on-going operation to better deliver on customer experiences
- Must be able to clearly communicate progress towards delivery, or technical challenges that may occur, to customer stakeholders
- Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert in the labor, workforce, commerce or higher education product area, develop essential product documentation including business cases, business requirements and use cases
- Own product backlog and collaborate closely with the platform engineering team
- Create Journey Maps that re-imagine/re-define agency problematic process areas especially around data use, data reporting, job matching, and labor law enforcement
- Understanding trends affecting customer and end-user adoption, and understand political risk run by our customers when they invest in new technological solutions
- Managing product lifecycle in whole – from ideation, exploration, approval, development, implementation, measurement, and ongoing development
- Develop results-oriented strategies to solve complex and open-ended business problems
- Market Analysis and Product fitment in the state, federal and non-profit efforts to use data to match workers to in-demand jobs
- Communicating and facilitating data architecture and end-user design discussions/decisions and impacts to key stakeholders
- Customer success on managing customer engagements and requirements
- Leading business pursuits and product demonstrations before highly-knowledge decision makers in labor, workforce, commerce or higher education field: e.g. Labor Secretaries, Chief Data/Performance Officers, and CIOs
Requirements:
- More than 11 years of experience in solution development / Product Management/ Product Engineering Operations on the labor, workforce, commerce or higher education policy domain area
- Experience in a decision-making level in a state or federal government agency. (State Labor/Commerce/Higher Education Secretary, Chief Data/Performance Officer or CIO in a state or federal Labor, Commerce and Higher Education department or the equivalent)
- Experience in market-leading products in the public sector (key emphasis on labor, workforce development, commerce, or higher education)
- Proven track record of at least 8 years in software product management roles
- Experience in working with enterprise customers like government agencies or businesses, both technical and business, and at all levels
- Influence leaders in diverse functional areas, but especially labor, workforce, commerce, or higher education
- Strong business acumen including experience in estimation and pricing, market research
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to modern technology and processes
- Strong analytical ability with exposure to data science and AI
- Teaming/Collaboration – Demonstrates exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative and empowering approach to achieve results through influence
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to develop lasting relationships with senior business or technical leaders with the highest levels of business acumen and technical expertise
- Experience working with industry leading/innovative platforms and products
- Expertise in public sector solution / product development and delivery especially in the labor, workforce, commerce or higher-ed policy domain
- A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred
