Hardware Project Manager (electronics/telecommunications)

Swoon is a driving force in the telecommunications industry serving the hard-of-hearing community, and they are seeking a Hardware Manufacturing Project Manager for a long-term contract. The role involves overseeing all aspects of new product hardware test management and guiding projects through production readiness, while working closely with various engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of new product (NPI) hardware test management and on the existing product including project management, updating billing systems, managing standard milestones, validating prototypes against the specs, internal task management etc
• Experience independently guiding the project through EVT/DVT and production readiness w/ manufacturing and supply chain
• Experience with devices that integrate hardware manufacturing with software release milestones
• Partner closely with EE, ME, FW, SW, and ID teams to manage design reviews and prototype builds
• Experience working in a stakeholder and executive facing position
• Proficiency within Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Confluence or similar
• Experience using Baum build materials/tools - a big plus!
• Exposure to cloud-connected hardware, IoT devices, or mobile integration - a big plus!

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of experience leading end-to-end hardware product development and lifecycle
• Oversee all aspects of new product (NPI) hardware test management and on the existing product including project management, updating billing systems, managing standard milestones, validating prototypes against the specs, internal task management etc
• Experience independently guiding the project through EVT/DVT and production readiness w/ manufacturing and supply chain
• Experience with devices that integrate hardware manufacturing with software release milestones
• Electronics consumer devices, telephony, VoIP, or telecommunications experience required
• Partner closely with EE, ME, FW, SW, and ID teams to manage design reviews and prototype builds
• Experience working in a stakeholder and executive facing position
• Proficiency within Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Confluence or similar
• Experience using Baum build materials/tools - a big plus!
• Exposure to cloud-connected hardware, IoT devices, or mobile integration - a big plus!
