ABOUT THE ROLE Our client is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Inventory & Data Collection Specialist for a short-term, on-site contract in Whiteville, TN. This role is focused on supporting a facilities inventory and data collection project by documenting, organizing, and validating physical assets across the facility. The position does
not involve hands-on maintenance work. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a facilities environment, can follow structured processes, and has strong attention to detail. While prior maintenance or facilities experience is helpful for understanding equipment and facility layouts,
no specialized technical skills are required. This is a 1-month contract with the possibility of extension, offering a clear scope of work, competitive hourly pay, and the opportunity to contribute to a critical facility initiative.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Conduct physical inventory of facility assets, tools, equipment, parts, and supplies
- Collect and accurately record asset data such as item descriptions, quantities, condition, and location
- Update and maintain inventory records according to facility guidelines
- Assist with organizing storage areas, tagging or labeling items, and standardizing inventory locations
- Identify missing, damaged, or obsolete items and report discrepancies to facility leadership
- Support audits or spot checks to ensure inventory accuracy
- Work closely with facility staff to coordinate access and inventory schedules
- Maintain clear documentation and communicate progress, issues, or questions as they arise
- Follow all safety, security, and facility policies while working on-site
WHAT YOU BRING- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Experience in inventory, facilities support, warehousing, maintenance, or similar hands-on roles preferred
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with documentation and repetitive tasks
- Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and work independently
- Basic familiarity with tools, equipment, or facility environments is a plus
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established processes
