Role Overview
The Senior HCM Operations Analyst plays a critical role in translating workforce data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making. This position blends deep analytical expertise with strong operational understanding, enabling the organization to identify trends, evaluate processes, and improve outcomes through data-driven strategies. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who can connect business processes to data, uncover insights, and communicate findings that influence operational and strategic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and evaluate workforce and operational reports to support Human Capital teams and organizational leadership.
- Deliver recurring trend analysis and insights highlighting anomalies, risks, and opportunities using workforce data.
- Apply a continuous improvement mindset to optimize reporting, automate manual data processes, and enhance efficiency.
- Improve data accessibility and usability through modern business intelligence and visualization platforms.
- Champion a data-informed culture by guiding teams on how to effectively use analytics and reporting solutions.
- Serve as a point of contact for reporting-related questions, troubleshooting issues, and BI tool support.
- Assist with onboarding new business units or locations into enterprise systems by validating data accuracy and flow.
- Partner with stakeholders to define and refine processes that promote data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Drive data governance and quality initiatives across multiple entities to create standardized, reliable reporting.
- Design and deliver executive- and board-level workforce reporting, including metrics related to headcount, retention, turnover, compensation, and benefits.
- Mentor and support team members by sharing knowledge, encouraging collaboration, and contributing to professional development.
- Lead cross-functional analytics and reporting projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and timelines.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.
Education & Credentials
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field strongly preferred
Experience & Technical Expertise
- Extensive knowledge across HCM domains, including Core HR, Absence Management, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, and Payroll
- 8+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, or data-focused roles
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Experience with predictive analytics, AI, or large language model (LLM) applications preferred
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern architecture patterns preferred
Communication & Collaboration
- Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse business audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Systems & Tools
- 5+ years of experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Strong SQL proficiency (5+ years required)
- Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred
- Experience with Oracle HCM Fusion preferred
- Working knowledge of DAX, Python, or R preferred
- Exposure to Azure and Microsoft Fabric environments preferred
