iShift is seeking a skilled OpenStack Support Engineer with expertise in OpenStack, Linux, Kubernetes, and Terraform. The role involves providing technical support, managing cloud environments, and troubleshooting complex issues to ensure the reliability and performance of cloud platforms supporting enterprise applications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day technical support for OpenStack environments , including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Manage and maintain Linux-based systems that support OpenStack services
- Use Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and updates
- Diagnose and resolve issues across compute, network, and storage layers in OpenStack
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance automation, performance, and scalability of cloud platforms
- Maintain system documentation, procedures, and support materials
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in OpenStack administration and support
- Strong expertise in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) administration and scripting
- Working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Proficient in troubleshooting networking, storage, and virtualization-related issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a global support team
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
- Experience with tools such as Ansible, Git, or Jenkins is a plus
