JOB SUMMARY
The Pediatrics Division of the Psychiatry Department is looking to hire a full time Public Education Community Outreach Coordinator. The responsibilities of this role include developing and executing medical community outreach initiatives to increase awareness and use of the PeriPAN program. This also includes building relationships with local healthcare organizations, maternal health providers and community stakeholders. The outreach coordinator ideally needs to be proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and Salesforce.

This position will require 10% travel to various health clinics across the DFW Area

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

• Education
  Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, communications, or related field. 
   

• Experience
  3 years of related experience. 
  Experience may be substituted for education. 

   

Preferred

• Education
  Master's Degree in Marketing, Public Health, Social Work, or related
   

• Experience
  Strong Microsoft Office Experience (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) 
• Previous Salesforce Experience 
• Previous Marketing and / or Business Experience 
• Previous Experience creating and presenting presentations
•  The candidate will ideally have an outgoing and business driven personality

JOB DUTIES

• Supports and assists with public education and community outreach endeavors for a department.
• Develops and/or promotes various projects, programs, and special events related to patient/public education and outreach goals.
• Delivers information/educational programs for community members, and/or the public. Attends a variety of outreach events throughout the region.
• Provides input and assist with the development of materials and resources necessary for project implementation and evaluation.
• Assists investigators with the development and ongoing updates for all outreach and educational materials.
• Assists with recruitment efforts and interact with community members while explaining available programs and research opportunities.
• Oversees and budget expenditures for community outreach and community outreach and education programs.
• May supervise staff by orienting, training, and giving ongoing feedback and assist in development of work plans. Meets regularly to ensure timelines are met; makes recommendations to improve workflow and reporting.
• May coordinate and maintain social media and marketing efforts.
• May travel to current and prospective outreach locations to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with community partners.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
