SK pharmteco Inc. is a U.S.-based Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specializing in small molecule and viral vector development. The Director – Business Development (Small Molecule) will identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to drive growth in the Life Science industry.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities per the sales plan, with pharmaceutical, biotech, and companies within the Life Science industry
- Promote SKPT as a CDMO through active research and outreach to relevant pharma and biotech targets
- Build and maintain strong, long-term, and strategic relationships with clients
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of the business strategies to drive growth in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and companies within the Life Science industry
- Coordinate and develop proposals, contracts, and amendments, and refine if necessary to ensure superior customer satisfaction and SKPT’ s profitability
- Embrace the importance of close collaboration with fellow BD team members to focus on the same goals of growing revenue, earnings, and customer satisfaction
- Work closely with internal teams, including but not limited to, R&D, manufacturing, project management, proposal management, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless project execution
- Operate within SKPT’s budgets
- Meet or exceed SKPT’s near and long-term revenue and earnings goals
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote SKPT’s services as a CDMO
- Provide regular updates to Leadership on the regional sales pipeline, revenue projections, and market trends
- Represent SKPT at relevant Life Science events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and attract new clients
- Travel to client locations, conventions, and business units to build, maintain, and strengthen relationships
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry
- 10 years' experience in a small molecule business development role at a CDMO
- Strong understanding of the Life Science industry and market trends
- Proven track record of success in developing and closing new business opportunities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint). User of Salesforce, Zoom Info, HubSpot, Box
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects to completion, and manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
- Proven ability to interact effectively cross-functionally and with subsidiaries
- Willingness to travel to business meetings and conferences as needed
- Based out of and have a successful network within the Northeast region of the USA - NJ, NYC-area, Eastern PA, MD is strongly preferred
