ABB is a company that helps industries run leaner and cleaner. The Account Manager focused on contractor sales will be responsible for driving sales of ABB Electrification products and services, achieving sales targets, and building relationships with electrical contractors in the Los Angeles/Orange County areas.
Responsibilities:
- Build and strengthen relationships with electrical contractors while driving sales strategies that expand market share and margin
- Promote ABB solutions through technical education, product introductions, and influencing customer specifications to create brand preference
- Manage the full sales cycle by identifying opportunities, performing take‑offs, developing competitive proposals, and negotiating to close orders
- Track pipeline activity and performance in CRM, analyze hit‑rate data, and provide market and competitive insights to leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited university/college or GED with 10+ years sales experience
- Knowledge and experience quoting and/or selling commercial, industrial and residential projects to electrical contractors
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products
- Strong technical application, take-off, and proposal development skills
- Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
- Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools
- Ability to travel throughout the territory as needed
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
