UNICEF Pakistan is seeking a dynamic and committed Risk & Compliance Officer to play a key role in strengthening operational integrity within a complex, high-risk programme environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a tangible impact by enhancing transparency, strengthening systems, and supporting UNICEF’s mission to deliver results for children in Pakistan.

Under the guidance of the Risk and Compliance Specialist (NOC), the Risk & Compliance Officer will play a pivotal role in strengthening accountability and safeguarding programme resources. The role focuses on enhancing vendor risk management, reinforcing compliance oversight, and supporting the effective implementation of the Harmonized Approach to Cash Transfers (HACT) framework, contributing to transparent, efficient, and high-impact programme delivery.

Following are the 2 major areas of this role:

To qualify as a champion for every child you will have… 

• Minimum requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Risk Prevention, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, ACCA/CA-Inter, Auditing, Risk Management and any other related fields.
  • Work Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience in Accounting and Auditing, Financial Management, Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, Vendor Risk Management, Fraud Prevention, Financial Controls, Assurance, Cash Transfer Oversight and any other related fields.
  • Skills: Experience in Compliance, Auditing, Vendor Risk Management, Fraud Prevention, HACT, Reporting.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Urdu are required.
• Desirables:
  • Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language
  • Prior experience in ACCA, CA Inter, Audit Firm, Field Experience are considered to be assets.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance.  Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. Should you be selected for a position with UNICEF, you either must be inoculated as required or receive a medical exemption from the relevant department of the UN. Otherwise, the selection will be canceled.
